Cobar or bust Tentative EoI

To all the guys who came with me to Dunedoo in January, How would you like to go a little further West next time.

I am told Cobar is the place for a dark sky.
They even use the Milky Way as their town emblem!

However its another 4 hours (386k) past Dunedoo.

That makes it a nine hour trip (722km).

If Dunedoo falls through in June, I am investigating an offer from a Cobar member. (Who'd think the classifieds could be a networking tool).

It sounds a long way, but its still only two thirds of the way to Broken Hill (another 459k). Just to put it into perspective. And with great company the trip passes enjoyably fast.

If any interest, add your tag below.

Don't suppose the July school holidays (5th-16th) would be a better time for anyone?
Would be for me.

July new moon 11th (Sunday).

Clashes with our End of Financial Year.
not a good time for Bean Counters to ask for leave.

But not impossible.

However, only a thought at the moment.

My first though is that its a bit far to travel for me.
I can only usually take about 4 days off at a time with work, so Dunedoo is about the farthest I can manage for 4 days.

Lostock also sounds good to me too for weekends, I like the place and find the accommodation basic, but comfortable.

geoffro.
