Bob's knobs for Skywatcher 12" Dob secondary

Hi,

Does anyone know where in Oz (Bintel has none of these) I can get the secondary Bob's Knobs for my Skywatcher 12" collapsible?

The BK website says I need the Orion XT compatible ones as my secondary looks like that one, but google only shows Bintel supplying them here and they no have!

Anyone know?

Thanks

Chris

I will be doing the same with the new GSO.

Thanks Dave,

Cant find them on the Star/Sirius Optics website, did you get the Orion XT version like the website said or just tell them which scope you had at the time?

Cheers

Chris

The Orion XT ones and the Meade are the same. The 4 vane spider ones are all the same. If I remember there $21 US shipped. They arrived in my letter box in about 5 days after my order went through. I will do the same next week. You will pay an extra 20 bucks plus if you buy in Aus.

Chris wondered how you went ordering your Bob's knobs?

I purchased mine through Bob's web site last night.
So see how long it takes to get here. I got an email from Bob last night also saying there on there way
Also the dollar took a dip yesterday but still only cost me $24.47 AU.

Hey David,

I havent got my Bob's Knobs in the post as yet, got the email the day after I ordered saying they are being shipped.

Just wondering how long before I can expect them? Ordered on the 3/2/10, so only really 7 days so far. Have you got yours yet?

Maybe its snail mail............

Cheers

Chris

Chris, mine arrived yesterday

You can see some mods I made here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=56156

You ordered yours a day after me but that could be longer due to time. So they will be there today or tomorrow.

Easy to put on

Dave.

Thanks Dave,

I will put an alert on the missus so she doesnt hide them on me.

I will know when they arrive because the first thing she will say to me when I get home will be "NOW what have you bought for your Telescope????"

Thanks for the heads up.

Cheers

Chris

Yay, mine arrived yesterday,

Went to Bintel and got a Bahtinov mask for the dob and the new 2010 Astronomy mag so I havent had a chance to retrofit the Bob's Knobs yet.

Maybe tonight....

Cheers

Chris
