Some recent images

Some of the images I have captured in the last couple of weeks.

Lance Armstrong during the tour down under held in Adelaide.

Flamingo in the pool at the Zoo.

Red finch trying to attract some attention.

Tiger at the pool

Tamarins at the zoo. Not really all that happy with this image but I had to capture them in the poor lighting.

Take a look around the other galleries too. There is lots of new images and I am adding all the time.

Paul, super images all. Especially like the flamingo shot and the way you've capture the ripples.

Hi Paul,

You sure do have some pretty amazing images.

Of the images linked to this post I could not go past the Flamingo. This is a stunning image, not just a good image of an object. I love the effect that the reflections create along with the symmetry of the concentric ripples in the water emanating from the Flamingo's head. This is a great image on many different levels. You mention in the text for this image, the blown out highlights on the back of the Flamingo. There is so much to take in when admiring this image that I believe that critique is irrelevant. This really is a work of art.

From your gallery's, in particular the Macro section, for me the absolute stand outs are "The Looking Glass", the flowing textures, light and shade, the subtle variations in colour and overall effect is simply stunning.

"Fractured" well how could a melting ice block in a glass of scotch look so good, again what an incredible effect.

Regards
Trevor

I love the bird images. That flamingo is simply excellent. Also, a good capture on the finch. I have a similar series of shots with a red browed firetail including the final act. Did that little fella do little jumps in the air while waving the grass about? Quite humorous to watch their antics.

Paul, you must have had a ball there! So much to shoot. I like the red finch and the tamarins.

Thanks all for the replies.

Telemarker, the little guy was just waving it around all over the place then flying to another branch and waving it there too.

Paul wow, I just quickly had a look at your gallery of animal shots !
Beautiful !
I'm going to return when I have more time and look through the rest of the galleries too.
The birds in flight are terrific.
Also your flamingo shot is great, love the ripples in the water.
