I have a Celestron CGE mount in tidy condition for sale. Comes with 1x standard 25lbs counter weight and 2x 10lbs counters (I made these ones)

Its 3 years old and has been a great work horse carrying the C11 and various other scopes.

Over all it tracks and guides well. Check out some of the photos I've taken using it at www.astronomypix.com view in IE7 or IE8.

Asking Price $2800AUD or $3600NZD + postage, Open to reasonable offers.

if so has it got the full goto operation and is it pec equipped?
how much load can it do and any pics?

Hi Pat,

Thanks for the enquiry, yes its still for sale.

Payload - 65lbs, but personal experience has found 50lbs to be ideal maximum for imaging. for Visual use 65Lbs (or a C14 + DSLR) is fine.

PEC - Yes with PEMpro and the Celestron PECtool. 4-5 runs (8mins each) smooths out PEC. Usually drops to around 6.

Full GOTO - Yes indeed! 40,000 objects and very accurate as long as you put the right time zone into the handcontroller! Also interfaces to starrynight pro, the sky and Tpoint.

also, the only reason I'm selling is due to an upgrade and I can't afford to keep both. I wanted to keep the CGE as my portable mount, but sadly it must be sold.

how much do you think it would be to ship to west oz and would a second hand item attract gst and or duty

hi Sorry for the delay, I got the qoute from DHL last night. The CGE + tripod and counterweight packed in orginal boxes (3 in total) is $680NZD via DHL Wellington to Perth. I'll look into other options on tuesday as monday is a holiday here monday.

I'll make enquires to other freight forwarding companies here in Wellington to find a better price.
