Roswell, New Mexico, USA

Do you believe a UFO crashed at Roswell or do you believe it was a weather balloon
The Roswell UFO Incident was the alleged recovery of extra-terrestrial debris, including alien corpses, from an object which crashed near Roswell, New Mexico, USA, on or about July 8, 1947

Question Roswell

Man, anyone who travels a trillion, trillion, trillion km then prangs the car on arrival would want to have it covered up dont you think?

Personally I think Roswell is more of an experimental test flight area for the military. Can you imagine in 1947 human nature if someone was secretly testing advanced technology especially for military purposes the general community with far limited knowledge comared to todays standards would create this story, especially if it was considered outragious excuse.

Stealth fighters/bombers look totally weird and could be misconstruded for alien spacecraft.

I was watching a really good series called "Taken" although unbelievable was also a good insight to life and times in those days mostly in the first DVD, the rest followed a story line.

Of coarse it was a weather ballon, you don't think for a second that the US goverment would lie to the public.

Hi el_draco,

You got it in one. Aliens that can travel trillions of klms do not fender bend.

If it were true, the media pressure and others hell bent on getting the truth would be too great for any government or military to bear.

I stick with my first statement, and agree with el_draco. The technology to achieve that kind of travel is out of this world. (Pun intended).

Cheers Marty

Hi Doug,

That question would have the answer from any of the experienced members, "Obviously to test the faithful".

Apologies to the Baron for responding to the off topic comment.

Cheers Marty

This is actually quite interesting. I was living in the high desert in Nevada back in the late 1980's and saw some bizzare stuff particularly around dawn and sunset. The U.S. military continued to deny the existence of it for a few more years before the Stealth fighter and bombers came out but they were seriously wierd to see. A lot of low level activities go on in the area I lived, on a ranch near a town called "Caliente".

Don't know if they have addmitted yet that they have choppers that suddenly stop making noise as they fly over you... but dang! they have em fur shurrrr dooods ...

I don't think that any UFO have visited Earth, why would they, it would not be in there interest, we are not technologically advanced to them if they traveled from another solar system, we are hostile and uncivilized

One thing about the "UFO" era is that it was most probably concocted during the cold war in an effort to heighten the level of public paranoia prevalent at the time. Nothing like a public on edge to encourage defense spending.
