Wineglass Bay, Freycinet NP

Here are some images of Wineglass Bay on Tasmania's east coast, taken in mid January. This is a great spot that is definately worth visiting if you're in Tasmania.

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice pictures of a great spot, for those who have not been wineglass bay is quite a long walk in/out or a boat trip which can be rough - but worth it.

May I carry in my snorkling gear? That looks like a great place. Thanks for the close up shots, Stephen - I have only ever seen photos from the lookout point and it has been on my "must visit" list for years.

Yes Eric, it would have been brilliant for snorkelling when we were there. But I think you would have to carry in a wetsuit as well, if you wanted to stay in for any length of time (especially if you're visiting from Queensland!!!)

Cheers,
Stephen

Great. Will be visiting from Melbourne and I do have a short wetsuit. But I might not get down there until well after Summer! Brrrrrrrr!

Hi Stephen,

Beautiful shots and you were lucky to have the sun out at the time to get the colours.
