Blue Moon and a lightning storm

Hi All,

I managed to snap these two images during the New Years Eve from a farm near Fish Creek. The blue moon shot is a combined exposure of 2 images exposed differently for the ground and moon detail.

I wasn't sure whether to put it into Terrestrial or Solar system imaging forum, but there is Moon in two shots so here it is.

Taken with D700 and a lowly Tamron 28-300VC zoom atop of a stack of tables as I forgot to pack my tripod (did not expect to do any night time photography because of the full moon).

Thanks for looking,

Alex

Just chucked your camera on a few tables and took those photos! Both are fantastic but I think the second one is special.

Adam, Mike, Rob and Matt - thanks!
The thunderstorm on Dec 31st brought much needed relief from the 37 degree heat and it seems we need another one right now...
