Very nice Richard, Looks very nice in black and white, I had never even thought of shooting this one in B&W. I love the difraction spikes, they really set off the image.

frankly, i never thought of any of them in b&w. sbig has not yet created the filter wheel for this camera. I've just been poking around the sky with it to determine its characteristics.

I rather like the B&W images be they just normal mono or NB as to me they are an honest image without the interpretation of colour we all have to make with RGB. I really like this image. Detail is lovely.

i have been really pleased with this camera. used to image with a canon 20da and the st8300 is much more sensitive and appears to be less prone to the effects of light pollution as well as being easier to operate - one cable controls download, temp and exposure.
