The most spectacular coastline in Australia?

Hi all,

I recently returned from a two and a half week holiday in Tasmania, during which I had a 3 day cruise along the Tasman Peninsula coast on my sister's boat. This stretch of coastline, including Cape Raoul, Cape Pillar and Tasman Island is considered by many to be the best in Australia, and it's certainly the most spectacular that I've seen. It's where the Southern Ocean meets sea cliffs up to 300m high. Here are a few images from the trip.

Cheers,
Stephen

Certainly is! Australia. What a wonderfully diverse country. I haven't been to Tassie, but the Great Ocean Road, 12 Apostles etc is pretty spectacular too. Definitely need to get to Tassie in the next few years, though.

And here's some shots of the abundant wildlife in the area. The first 2 are fur seals, the next 2 are a pod of dolphins that accompanied the boat for a while (amazing to see!), then there is a shot of a white-capped albatross taking off, and finally two shots of gannets.

Hope you like them!

Cheers,
Stephen

And lastly a couple from the trip home: beautiful dawn colours as we sailed out of Port Arthur, and a shot taken as we rounded Cape Raoul.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen
