Landscape & Nature shots from Lake Leschenaultia

G'day all,

Back in December I took a couple of trips to Lake Leschenaultia to test out my 7D. Loved the experience. So easy to reach crisp focus on dragonfly's and the like. Many were taken with my wife's 100-400 F/4 L which at 5m distance from the dragonfly's was producing stunning shots. Had fun with the same lens and a Pardalote which came hopping to a tree 3m way then along the ground near me as close as 2m.

I suppose none of the shots are award winning, they're nice and sharp and all, but do lack "wow factor" which I'd like, but they were great fun to take and are still OK

Here's a selection of some pics:

I agre with your comments on "wow factor", however, I find them peaceful and sentimental.

Nice shots. You don't need over the top "wow factor" if you like / know the story behind the pictures yourself. Great snaps for you to remember the trip by.

In regards to "wow factor" Lake Leschenaultia in Sunset could be enhanced with some careful selective luminance increases in Photoshop. Saturation could be bumped and that yellow sand in the river is just asking to be lightened to become a main feature of the image.

I'll show you what I mean if you like.

Good shots once agin.
