Another Orion Blend

Here is my Orion Blend from last night.

SWED80 f/7.5
40D Modded
5x5min and 2x 20s Subs Blended

Stacked in DSS
Processed in IP and Photopaint
Not much processing - curves and levels and tiny bit of sharpening.

I think I have the noise problem solved now. I still need a new adapter tube though, there is too much slop in my present one. The safety groove is cut too deep and long...

Nice smooth image Rob. It could still use a bit more exposure time to show the full extent of the nebula but I think you have definitely tamed the noise. Getting the correct adapters for any camera can be a bit of a trial but I am sure you will work it out.
Good luck and a nice image. 20 X 5 minutes and you won't know the image was the same one.
