Barlow problems

I got the 2" 2x andrews barlow from andrews comm yesterday. When I put it in though it gets blocked by the focuser and a fair chunk of the silver tube is still showing. When I was viewing Jupiter last night with the barlow and 25mm EP (96x), the image was decent but there was a sort of a spherical jupiter-sized haze slightly off center of the planet which ruined it. With the 10mm EP without the barlow (120x) the image was much sharper. The pics below hopefully demonstrate what I'm trying to say. Is the barlow not fitting properly the problem or is it something else?

if you take out the barlow can you see what is stopping it from sitting flush?
is the focuser low profile?

The ridge in the 3rd picture of the focuser is the thing that stops it going in any further. Not really sure if it is low profile or not, I have a skywatcher 10" dob with the crayford focuser I think

Take it back and get them to exchange it or ask them about your scope if you bought it from them too.

its a skywatcher thing. they thought they would be tricky and make a collar to swap your 1.25 and 2 inch ep adaptors in and out. to fix it get the collar machined out. no problems then!
