EDS did a series of these commecials in the USA in 2000 for the Superbowl. The advertising agency had the removed from YouTube, but because of their popularity, they have returned. EDS has now been taken over by HP.

Here is a short history of the commercial: http://theinspirationroom.com/daily/...-herding-cats/

There are at least two more commercials. Here are two of them:

"Building airplanes in the sky" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2zqTYgcpfg

"Running with the squirrels" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_SXL...eature=related

ooh, 1000 posts, and that signals my departure...

Hi Stephen & Michael,

Funny. Bad ol' squirrels.

A good bit of work getting the images of all those cats. Interesting how its done. Rough tough "Catboys".

Cheers Marty

Stephen,

as an employee of said company I always thought the Airplane one sent the wrong message.

Owls!

Yeah, Michael, I did a bit of research some time ago (2005 I think) when I discovered these commercials. From memory the "Cat Herding" was lauched at the 2000 Superbowl. They followed it up with the Airplane, which kind of backfired on them and portrayed a negative image of EDS's capabilities, which you are also saying. Still very clever commercials on the surface, but deep down, did they convey the correct message to the public?
