[NOT REQUIRED] Photoshop full version

I have been getting by with Photoshop elements for so long now. Yet another good person has sent me a tutorial on processing and again, I can't use his tips because PSE is so limited and most things in tutorials are either not there or grayed out.

I am looking for a legitimate copy of Photoshop (no burnt copies) if anyone has a spare one to give away. I imagine some of the rich and famous upgrade to CS4 recently, I am happy with CS2 if that's all you have.

I know its a big ask for free, but I am hoping someone has one around and has no good reason to keep it. I can't afford over a thousand dollars for a new copy and I am madly trying to scrimp and save every penny for a 5DMK II camera.

I am happy to pay postage though.

I really reckon that you'll be able to pick up CS2 cheaper than that if you're patient. In all honesty, you don't need CS3 or CS4 for what you'll be wanting to do Baz. I'm still running CS2, it hasn't affected my ability to work on images. CS3 is a bit better because of smart filters, but it's not a heart stopper. CS4 has a native 64 bit version, is faster in general usage, but you're paying through the nose for the latest and greatest imho.

Try http://hiddenelements.com/ for extra 'power' tools for PSE (different versions available).

Some tools are free, others a small fee. Many full version features become available with these tools.

I was lucky enough to find CS2 on an older work computer. Can I transfer this to a newer computer?

should be able to. Uninstall it from the old work pc and install it on the new one and register.

Before you Unistall it from the old PC, make sure you Transfer the Registration (De-Register it) first.

Then you can re-register it on the new PC.

This is also crucial if you are doing a new install of Windows 7 or upgrading from XP to Win 7.

Adobe license allows you to install PS on two machines as long as you own both and only use one instance of PS at a time.
If you already have it installed on two machines and try and reinstall it, they will refuse.
If you do a fresh install of Win 7 there is no way you can go back and deregister Adobe products on your old OS (XP) since the disk is wiped.

I suppose the only thing then is to explain to them what happened.

This was the advice I read in an article on upgrading to Win 7 from XP as a clean install.

Better to be on the safe side me thinks.

That's fair enough. I didn't know you had to de-register the product before moving it to another PC. I'm sure I didn't do this when I went from my old Athlon 3ghz XP based machine to the new Intel Q6600 that I'm using now.
