Good luck with Saturn.

Lol Davo! And thank you for helping set me up with my new setup! Now to get good with this toucam & processing!! The lappy is doing it easy mate. As you know, I'm having to stack using registax V2 in 800X600 on the laptop, then transfer the final image to the main puter. Have to defrag the lappy regularly otherwise it drops too many frames too.

Was checking out the memory sticks the other day, & they make em' upto 2 Gig in size.

Not overly impressed with that mars image above, but not bad for the very first image with the toucam, so I'm STOKED in a way!!

That's good stuff Asi - here for your amusement is the most ancient mars pic I can find, taken 2 days after getting my ToUCam in 2003...

That's still a pretty good image Bird. Huge image scale...That done with a 5X barlow/powermate? I must look into one of those. Another cheap 2X APO barlow & stack might be the way to go also.

I think it's taken with a meade "shorty" 2x barlow... I didn't get the 5x powermate for a couple of weks after the ToUcam.

I'm struggling to get anything resembling image scale and let's not even begin to discuss surface detail

Here's what I'm using: 8" f/5 scope, 6mm eyepiece in 2X barlow...

afocal with digital camera optical zoom maxed out at 3x

I would have thought that would give me loads of image scale???

Can anyone suggest "what's wrong with this picture"
