Following Software Bisque instructions I am unable to make TheSky communicate with the scope. I suspect the problem is the wires in the RS-232 plug. Firstly I tried the yellow wire on pin 1, green on pin 2, red on 3 and black on 4. No good.
Then the green wire on pin 2, yellow on pin 3, red on 7 and black on 8. No luck.
The option is to connect pin 4 to pin 8, and pin 6 to pin 20 (20 ???) some misprint.
Can anyone help?
Attached to the laptop is a USB Serial Converter that, via a 4 wire cable, is inserted in the hand controller. No where in the Ultima manual is any mention of the file you mentioned, which is a Windows file. Also, I have not come across any ASCOM file??
Thank you for your replies and support. However, having installed the Ascom files, I fail to understand how that will help TheSky communicate with the scope, and help solve the problem of the pins-out in the 232 plug ???

Now that I have the correct pins-out I am able to control my Ultima using TheSky software. Bliss.
Matthew , you were correct in that only three of the wires are needed.

Glad to hear its resolved - still reckon someone should post a short article plus pictures on how to do this - so the next folk that need this information will find it easier to solve.
