I'll try to be nice if you just let me tell a little story. You see, you've got me thinking.
Those of you who know the radio show 'A Prairie Home Companion' (1) will know that the host, Garrison Keillor, has a weekly segment where he gives the news from his home town, Lake Wobegone (the little town that time forgot and the decades cannot improve). Last week perchance he was talking about this old couple that live out in the woods. They argue more than any couple ever known. "......and it serves to remind us that ..... remind us that God created marriage so that people don't have to argue with strangers."
So why do we argue here (eg about climate change and fireworks) rather than in more 'appropriate' forums?? I'd like to think that it's because we'd sooner argue with family than with strangers. That means fulfilling the rest of the family relationship - at least to the extent that you see IIS as a family - and that is having an underlying love.
peace meat freaks,
Dave
(1) ABC Radio National, 7pm Sunday. We stumbled upon this over 20 years ago at a time when we didn't have TV. We'd still rather listen to this that see any show on TV.
