2" Powermate vs 1.25" powermate

Hey all:

This post fitted (fat?) in about 3 different forums so I thought I'd chuck it here.

I've got an ED80 and am looking to hook up a Canon 7D to it along with a televue powermate. QUestion is, which diameter powermate should I get?

The ED80 has a back of 2" and I've got a 2" diag, but all my EP's are 1.25" (except for one which I don't care about anymore). If I go to a 1.25" am I risking losing some light that will otherwise be picked up using the 2" or am I completely off the right track here (I'm 50/50 on that one tbh... not sure about this at all). Or is the only effect of have a 2 vs a 1.25 is that you've got a 2 vs a 1.25?

Thanks

Anthony

Yeah, with a sensor as big as a DSLR I think you'd get noticeable vignetting with only a 1.25".
