Image processing

Hello

I am new to CCD imaging, having just set up a 10" Newtonian f4, Paracorr, SBIG 2000XCM on a G11 and am using 47TUC to get started.

Is there a 'typical' set of imaging software most are using for processing data? I have PS CS3, and am wondering about Maxim DL/IP.

Many thanks

David

You'll have to shoot in raw fits format, calibrate and stack then use PS to finish off.

You can do calibration and stacking in DeepSky Stacker, CCD Stack, Maxim, DL, Iris to name a few.
