astro photography with old lens.

I am writing from Turkey.
Hello for every body.

I am sure before you talked about fd lens.

Before we had Canon a-1 machine. Also we had some good lens.

We want to use that lens on our Eos350D.

I found some equpiment. M42 and "FD to EOS converter" (with glasses without glases.)

Can we use old lens for astro foto? Wich equipments good for us.

Thanks.

Fatih

That should do fine, what is the focal length of the lens? Do you have an equatorial mount that can at least track in RA?

FD to EOS converters (they have relay lens to achieve focus at infinity) may add their own distortions.
Perhaps it may be better to try something like I did:

The modification is not necessarily irreversible, if performed correctly and carefully (but I do not know why anyone would want to go back..)
If you have M42 lens, then M42->OES adapters work fine. Russian prime lenses (for Zenit cameras) are usually good value for money.

Good luck..
