Unhappy Moon = Good, Mars = BAD

Thanks for the kind words guys...it is killing me that I cannot get a sharp Mars pic - my mars shots were awful (see attached) and seeing was the same moon and mars both about 40 deg above the horizon.... I am begining to believe this is a limitation of my little 90mm MAK - that is not enough image scale on the LPI...for mars I had to use a 2x barlow...oh well the VCL200 is arriving tomorrow

Nice work!

I like the moon, i am attempting to do a major stitching process at next full moon. It consists of the toucam at 200x (roughly a 6mm eyepiece) taking video passes (7 or 8 in total). breaking up those videos into roughly 150 images per pass and then stitching together.

i stuffed up the last one two months ago, and weather stuffed last moons effort, but I am determined to get a full moon image that is 2500px x 2500px and that can be zoomed in to the 200x.
fingers crossed!

John you seem to have a recurring white pixcel in the mosaic. it that an artifact of the processing or from the LPI? Nice shots but!!
