Pleiades - First light ED80
This is my first attempt of deep space.
Not perfect (of course) but I couldn't believe that I can make it .
Few minutes of exposure, made with the Skywatcher Pro 80ED piggy back on an LX90.

Really? Look I guess I just been extremely lucky.
I got crazy to understand how to work with Eq wedge and I had the camera in exposure for 6 minutes without any knowledge of settings and co.
I'm still believing that I'll be not able to do again.

A brilliant first image.
Imagine what you'll be doing once you get a bit more experience.

Very good Christiano for a first.
Did you do this under your sky at Kirribilli? If so you have done extremely well.
I have not yet had a chance to use the BT150 yet, as too much cloud cover.
Ain't that just what happens when you get anything new?
Cheers Rick

Yes Rick, this was taken from my light polluted hated/loved place
I'm sorry you didn't had yet an opportunity to try the BT150. The weather seems be not so kind with us recently, but can't be cloudy forever!
Cheers.

Mate, you're kidding right? That's a terrific picture for a first. My first was a bright squiggly trail (Jupiter I think) Looking forward to more.

Christiano,
As others have mentioned, that is a great effort and outcome for a first image. Care to provide some details, re: equipment, exposure and processing?
Regards,
Humayun

SW Pro ED80, Nikon D50, 600sec, ISO 800 (not really sure about the ISO but it was on 800 when I turned on the camera again), PS CS3 (but I messed up with colors and I desaturised the image).
Huma, I will be a lier if I tell you that the above settings were used with knowledge. I just checked someonelse data and tried to use the same.
Cheers.

Far better than my first time. Wasn't even nearly polar aligned and a complete mess I made of it.
Well done.

As the others have said, its well done for a first image. Now the imaging bug has bitten, its onward and upward from here. Looking forward to seeing how you progress.
