My BIMBO offerings

Thanks for a great morning Troy, Andrew, Mike, Dennis and co.! Great to meet a few more IIS members and put faces to names.

Here's a few of my images from this morning. Most are botanical shots, but there's a damselfly and wasp in there as well. Not as sharp as Troy's and Mike's, but I thought I'd post them anyway.

Looking forward to the next outing!

Cheers,
Stephen

That wasp is a cracker Stephen. It was really enjoyable this morning - we will do it again soon.

Nice Ichneumon wasp, good flower shots as well. Looks like Roma St gardens are full of life - must check them out one day.

Very nice natural light set. The parasitic wasp one is special - she was injecting eggs into caterpillars and other insects while that shot was taken IIRC.

Lovely shots Steve – you’ve really got that Pentax singing along. The wasp looks like something out of a horror movie – a very dramatic photo! I particularly like the 2nd flower shot – very eye catching. Top stuff.

Cheers

Thanks guys!

I got lucky with the wasp shot because there was nice back-lighting. Probably a situation where natural lighting (rather than flash) was an advantage? I tried to capture the wasp injecting the caterpillar, but didn't have enough DOF.

Cheers,
Stephen
