For those who dare - Pixinsight 1_59

For those who dare - please try the new version of Pixinsight1.59 http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?topic=1496 .

I have grown to like pixinsight a lot - so much so that the features it has far outshines the other software i have used. I use Deepsky stacker to do the stacking at the moment, but everything else is within Pixinsight. Eddie T uses it so it cant be bad . don't get me wrong - i own Astroart 4, Images plus 3.80.

it is the only application i know that is standard for 32 and 64 bit machines for windows, Mac and Linux

try it - there is a demo version available

Steak knives sold separately

forgot to say - you will need to watch the videos by Harry Page first to get a feel for the programme before you step off the cliff http://pixinsight.com/videos/index.html and harry's tutorials are here http://www.harrysastroshed.com/pixinsighthome.html

well worth it

I'm a dedicated, and I mean dedicated Photoshop user, but I think that PixInsight is a hell of a cross-platform application suite with a matching learning curve. Well worth giving a go everyone.

LOL! Cheers David - mucho appreciado!!!

Yes, I downloaded PixInsight quite some time ago and tried it. I love the interface and its consistency across all platforms. The website is very comprehensive (it needs to be!!!) and helpful. Lots of tutorials to be had.

The 171 Euro price is OK for what you get too - but it's free for 30 days so there's no excuse not to check it out.
