90mm Bushnell spotting scope and assorted Astro Mags

Hi good people,

More stuff has to go to make room. I have a 90mm ST (focal length 450mm) which I bought recently on an overseas trip and used it a couple of times. Comes with a nice "all metal" table top mount, two eyepieces with screw top containers (25mm H and 9mm K), an okay finder, an erect image diagonal and a nifty carry bag. Has a plastic mounting bush for photo tripods and the objective lens looks coated (bluish reflection) with no internal stoppering. I am willing to part with it for more than half the the price I paid ($350 original price....letting this one go for $160...negotiable).

Here's the catch.....scope is brilliant for daytime bird and nature spotting but does not fare so well for nighttime use. Stars don't focus down to a point and it looks like astigmatism or something. Maybe someone can play around with the rotation of the lenses. I am not up to it. But it works brilliantly if you are going to use it as a spotting scope.

Also have an assortment of Astro mags dating back to 2001. 6 issues of Sky and Space, 1 issue of Astronomy, 1 issue of Astronomy Now and 3 issues of Sky and Telescope...take them all for $20!!!!

I prefer pickup but can discuss postage....

Later...

Hey Darren, long time no see!

Listen mate, is the spotter still for sale? If so, a coupla Q's for ya

(1) I assume it takes 1.25" EP's?

(2) How do you think it'd go with a DSLR bolted to it for terrestrial, bird shots etc? I wonder what focus range it would have...Any ideas?

Cheers!
