Don Lane dies at 75

Another sad loss.. The "Lanky Yank" who graced our woodgrained TV's in the 1970's has passed away at the age of 75 this morning from a dementia-related illness.

The Nine Network will air a one-hour special, A Tribute to Don Lane, at 8.30pm, featuring highlights from his career.

One of my personal favorite moments was his appearance on The Late Show on the ABC in 1993.

RIP Don Lane.

A good guy who will be sadly missed by the TV world and his fans.

Gone to the great ballpark in the sky.

A sad loss indeed.
As a young kid, I loved watching The Don Lane Show.
One moment that sticks out in my mind was when he kicked James Randy off the show.

RIP Don and thanks for all the great memories.

Just finished watching the tribute program with my wife. What memories. The first several years of our marriage was in the hey day of Don's show.

ps. Loved his American Football program as well!

Don (Morty) was a friend of mine.

I haven't seen him for a few years now, but I shall miss him.

Thanks Don for the good times and the great memories. RIP mate.
