Andromeda Galaxy from sv camp.

3x5 Minutes 30 flats
A pity i couldn't get more because a stupid light pole was in the way
The last pic in the stack had a small bit of the lines in it so you will see a couple of black smudges at the top right hand side.

That's got a lot of detail for only 15 minutes. Far less noise and more detail than I've seen from other attempts using DSLRs on this object.

Well, not a bad job at all. I had a crack at a repro (hope you don't mind) - tried to remove the gradient on the left hand side using Noel's astro actions. I then did a curves adjustment. That's it.

You're welcome - you did all the hard work, I just hacked the image (hack being a term for played with, not the bad stuff that Hollywood usually harps on about lol).

Top shot that!

Nicely Done Martin. Maybe next time we don't need a broom, just an axe?

Come out great Martin, The poles and wire pose a problem when working on the north horizon. I guess you are as chuffed as me at capturing this one. Just yours is upside down. Were you in China?
