best way to mount shorttube80 on C8?

I have the Orion short tube 80 with a dovetail bar and guidescope rings - what is the best option for mounting this on top of the C8?

ADM sell mounting plates for the C8

personally if the intent is for imaging then don't use guide rings go for a fixed mount (less flex)

http://www.admaccessories.com/V_Seri...il_Adapter.htm

the 80 tube rings attached to the adaptors then attached this to the dovetail bar atop the C8

If you already have the dovetail with your 80, it would be good to use that directly, but it's probably too short, hence Trever's suggestion of the ADM dovetail setup.

I also mounted a short quiding f5.5 refractor atop my C8 and used a local 13.5" dovetail. Made up a couple of small aluminium "straps" to bolt it to existing holes in my older C8 end plates. I can send some photos for inspiration if you're interested. Works great.

A set of Losmandy blocks for a C8.

I have the Bintel guidescope package set up exactly that way.
C8
Losmandy blocks
Dovetail
Rings
Scope

The only thing is you can't disassemble it easily.

That would be great - the dovetail is actally pretty long, so on Bintels suggestion, Im getting some Losmandy V Curved Blocks:

Pretty sure I can make that lot fit.

As an aside, Im pretty impressed with the Short tube 80. Focuser is a bit stiff, but optically it is great.

A GSO 10:1 Crayford fixes that.
