ngc 6273 from 10 Chain Hill

Thanks to Peter for a great night and the use of his property. Hope to be able to return. Thanks to everyone for the company, Matt and I had a great time...shame about the clouds.

This is my first sucessful attempt at using Flats. Thanks Paul(1ponders) for the invaluable advise, always appreciated.

Ngc 6273: 10 x 5min lights: 6 darks and 30 flats, SW ED80 and Canon 20D processed in Nebulosity and PS3

Shame we could only manage 1 hours worth of lights.

Geoff

Nice one Geoff! Still yet to chase this one down myself.. I must say I do love reflection nebs, but recently I've focused all my efforts towards emission nebulae...

Nice Geoff. You and your son captured a lot more data than I managed. Fascinating area of the sky.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I would have liked another 60-90mins of data but the clouds beat us, but there's always next time

Cheers Geoff

Ahhh, Geoff. All those wasted hours after you and your offsider Matt had packed up and were snoring. The desperate imaged on and were richly rewarded after midnight. By the way, great image. Next trip up, I'd like to be able to spend more time watchign and learning. You are well ahead of me in imaging technique and I'm sure I can learn from both of you.

Peter, Thanks we both had a great time. You are always welcome to join in our Imaging sessions, I am still a beginner at processing but are always happy to share. Next time i'll do the LONG stint... clouds or not.

Doug, Thanks, we were all set up for a long night but the weather had other ideas..maybe next time we'll have better luck.

Cheers Geoff
