Vixen SXW Mount

Vixen SXW mount with Starbook controller, with tripod. $1000.
About 3 years old, very good condition works nicely as a GOTO mount for visual observations or astrophotography through small refractor. Suitable for scopes up to a 180mm Mak (visual only) or 100mm refractor.
[edit] Includes the Vixen camera bracket that slides onto the dec axis for piggyback shots.

Will include a portable rechargable battery if you want it. I'm in North Sydney, you can collect or I'll deliver if you are in Sydney area.

Has to go as I'm relocating.

I's say about 10kg. The previous owner was into AP and was using a 130mm ED refractor, he felt it was at the upper limit of the mount.

PS this is the mount only, I am keeping my OTA's at this stage.

That is a crazy price for this mount!

I have one of these and carries a C8 with ease and tracking accuracy good enough to do unguided shots of 1 minute at 1000mm focal length. See attached - UNGUIDED - shot of Helix with QHY9, C8, Vixen Sphinx SXW and 15 x 1 minute exposures. Image scale is 2 arc sec/pixel.
