NGC2070 The Tarantula Nebula

<tt>Hi All,

I was goofing off with CCDAutoPilot2 a few nights ago b4 the 12.5 RC arrives.

CCDAutoPilot2 lets you acquire a series of images automatically whilst you sleep. It automatically handles image framing, focusing, meridian flips, guiding, guide star acquisition, darks and dawn/dusk flats, etc. The down side is you need a highly tuned system to make it work which is a major challenge in itself.

Heres what I acquired during a 2.5 hour test run, It's a bit short on the colour data and the William Optics 80ED is showing signs of collimation problems again. *sigh*

However the signs are very very promising!

Hi Itchy!

Not for me! Just keeping it in tune for automation is enough fun for me. Its just magic watching it all happen.

Cheers,
Brad
