Bushlapse from ASIGN

I have been sitting on these images for quite some time now. I think I have taken the standard 18-55mm Canon lens to it's limits here and haven't really been satisfied enough with the results to make individual videos.

It's seemed a bit of a shame to waste all this capture though, so I put them together for a bit of a composite movie.

In a 35 second exposure, with stretching in el-cheapo and limited batch processors, this is about the limit of 18mm at F/3.5.

Someone give me a F/1.8!!! PLeeeeaaasssseeee..

Baz.

Very nice Baz... Shame about the clouds every now and then.. although they added a nice touch of perspective I suppose..

I would love to do something like this... Might give it a go next month at dark skies...

Baz, that Youtube video is haunting. I showed the wife & kids. We all loved it. I like how you place the tree branches to give perspective.
Damn fine work.I'm going to email this to a few folks.

You're fast becoming the time-lapse video master! Excellent!

PS - I never did get the opportunity to try it up at Astrofest. Found myself too busy imaging, or talking, or drinking, to set it all up

Hey that's awesome Baz.

How long between the individual exposures?

I've never seen that before. Great effect.

Greg.

Thanks again all.

Greg, the intervals were 35 second exposures every 8 seconds. It's at the end of the vid in the credits mate.

Cheers,

Baz.

Thanks Baz.

Did you use Images Plus to get your DSLR to take the time lapse or can you program a DSLR to do it? Then again the image files would overwhelm the memory card no?

Greg.

Hi Greg, the tool menu in EOS utility can do it, if you want to plug it into your laptop, but I have power issues so it's usually not pracical. Instead, I use an intervalometer and an 8GB Flash card.

The only reason I have 8 seconds between shots is to allow a bit of a safety time for each image to load into the card from the buffer. Never had a problem yet.

WHAT!!??? TROY!!! you don't watch my credits!!!????
