Nebulosity around Sadr

Hello everyone.

some things just need to be in B&W. I do have multiple hours of SII and OIII data on this 2 panel mosaic, but this Ha data is just worth looking at all on its own.

So this is just 5.5hours Ha around mag 2.23 Sadr in Cygnus (1.2Mb)
http://www.martinpughastrophotograph...R-Ha_50pct.jpg

On the main page (http://www.martinpughastrophotograph...bulae/SADR.htm), there are links to a 75pct and full version of this image.

thanks for looking as always
Martin

That looks great Martin. There are some extremely dark dense clouds in the center right of the nebulosity , not unlike the M17 area.

That's amazing detail, Martin.

Hope you don't mind me cropping and attaching. I like the area in Crop #1 - the bright "filaments" (?)

And I see you have caught Malcolm Fraser in profile - Crop #2. Compare http://moadoph.gov.au/exhibitions/on...etirementC.jpg

Thanks everyone.

I have completed the SHO version now, for a total exposure time across the two panels of 26 hours. The colour version is however cropped a little from the Ha version I posted earlier.

David - I am sure there must be a planetary nebula in there somewhere but I havent found it!

thanks as always
Martin
