Mirror box

Want to know if I can get away with 9mm ply to make my mirror box for a 12" Dob?

Thanks

Frank

I think 9mm will flex too much. Just like a speaker box with a heavy speaker, I use 15mm.

Thanks David,

It was either 9mm or 13mm. I was thinking about the weight savings of using the thinner ply.

Are there suitable solid timbers that I could use to make the mirror box? I want to try and dovetail the joints and think solid timbers may look better than ply.

Thanks
