Greetings all. I captured this image of B33 and co while camping near Murgon this week. Had to contend with strong winds and high temps,but the sky was so dark! A roaring jetstream meant pretty average seeing but clarity was excellent.Cheers to the Heq5 pro for performing in less than ideal conditions also! details-14x600sec, iso400,DSS,PS4. thanks for looking
Darrell, given the circumstances you mention this is a fine image. Flame is nicely defined. Colour balance looks on the money. Could perhaps been a little more aggressive on the noise reduction, but overall its a great result. Well done.
Good job... Next time you shoot the area, given your field of view, i would try to put alnitak half way down the frame, and 1/5th of the way in from the edge.. that way you should get all of the flame, and most of the horse heads southern-most areas..

Murgon is a great place for astro imaging, there is no doubt about that.. A good mate of mine owns something like 190 acres up that way for cattle.. I've put in an offer on a small 3 acre section of the land that he doesn't use.. Hopefully this means its observatory time for me soon!
