SBIG Hall of Fame

Hello everyone.

I seem to be having a good run, but could not believe it when an email from SBIG dropped in my inbox a couple of weeks ago announcing that I had been nominated to join the Hall of Fame.

It is an absolute tremendous honour to be up there with the likes of Rob Gendler, Adam Block, Russ Croman, R J Gabany, and others.

I can only say that the Globe that goes with this will sit very nicely right alongside the bust of Galileo.

If you are interested, you can read all about it here:

cheers and clear skies

Martin

Thanks for giving us a benchmark mate.

Martin,

It is only fitting that that honour has been bestowed upon you.

What an amazing journey. And, to think, all these accolades being received in this holy year of the IYA!

Well done, mate. You serve as inspiration to a lot of us lesser folk.

Regards,
Humayun

Thanks everybody

I really appreciate it.

Duncan - yes, I am from the Black Country...left there at 16 years of age.

Dave - yes, it does appear very large. You can easily pick out the STL, but its attached to the optional 8 position filter wheel.

this is what makes SBIG a particular good camera choice, because you can also add an AOL to the entire package, fit it to an OAG, drop in a second guide camera and you can now use guide stars ahead of the NB filters. No other company has achieved this I believe (not to mention dual-ccds in the camera itself).

cheers

Martin
