Le Carre fans?

Just arrived is something I have been wanting for some years - DVDs of the BBC TV programs of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" (1979) and "Smiley's People" (1982). I had seen them available as Region 2 and was waiting for the ABC to bring them out as Region 4.

Searched again the other day and there they were as Region 2+4, available new from the UK. $19.95 each plus $11.95 shipping and I have them in my hot and sweaty little hands. Some seven hours or more of exciting viewing here. Alec Guinness is superb, as I recall.

(I must pick up "The Russia House" on DVD one day.)

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the heads-up! Have had them on VHS for many years.
Two of our favourite dramas which we watch periodically and with
each viewing pick up something new and subtle.
The melancholia of the Cold War is intelligently and beautifully portrayed.
Alec Guinness is George Smiley.

Time to brush-up on your Moscow Rules. Enjoy!
