A Very Quiet Sun Today

I celebrated Father's Day by having my first attempt at the sun with the DMK 41. The sun was very quiet, and I found I'm quite out of practice at tuning the PST/SM40 double stack. Anyway here's the results.

PST / SM40 double stack, DMK41AU02.AS camera. The resulting images of the disc and proms stacked in Registax 5 were stacked, masked, colourised and saved for the web on PS CS3.

I hope to do better at tuning the SM40 in future, or perhaps its the wider field of the DMK 41 exceeding the capabilities of the PST but the brightness is out of balance acrss the disc.

Thanks Dave.

It's not real exciting, but I now realise I need to practice this some more than I have been so I have my act together when something interesting happens.
