NGC 6188 (wide)Reprocessed

Hi again all

This is another shot from last new moon weekend out at Coonabarabran.

A wide shot of NGC 6188 and again shot through the FSQ106 using the SXVF-M25c.

Exposures on this one were 23 x 10 minutes with pre-processing done in AA4 and post processing in CS3.

Thanks again for looking folks!

Louie,

Gosh, that FSQ sure delivers a wide field. Pin point stars edge to edge.

This one looks like you've processed it in a really subtle and subdued manner. A little different to the usual popping stuff you post.

I like it!

Regards,
Humayun

H,thanks dude! I did take a different approach to the area mate.

I felt that although detail and colour was there It needed a feeling of "depth and distance" so I worked on the stars a lot by reducing and then bringing luminance back in again.

Louie, this one almost slipped by.
That's a gorgeous shot and you've achieved what you set out to do, and that is to give this image real depth.

Stars nice and sharp, colours beautifully presented.

Excellent work.

Hice Louie,

I really like the natural look of this image. Nice and smooth, did you use darks?

Just kidding!
