Triffid from Astrofest

Here's my latest processing offering - Triffid Neb 15x3min and 10x4 using the 400D taken over two nights at Astrofest.

I found this object quite challenging to bring out the red and blue colour however I'm quite happy with this version.

Tips and comments always welcome,

Got no tips for you so I'll just sit back and admire your work.
Thanks.

Peter, this looks great and has come a long way from the original stacked image we saw at Astrofest

It's a very soft processing. The underlying data is excellent. I like it too. Top job.

Thanks Marc and Rob.

This object was used in a workshop I attended just after astrofest two years ago. It was at this point I decided to try my hand at deep space imaging and went out to purchase the DSI II pro. After two years of imaging (mainly CCD) I'm finally starting to get some images I'm happy with, albeit with a DSLR.

The Triffid sure is a tough object to get a nice image of but really rewarding when you do. I especially like the combination of red and blue nebulosity in this nebula.

Pretty.

I love the colour of the golden star which sits in the blue nebulosity.

Nicely done.
