Steller Nursery
Hi All
This image of M8-NGC 6559-IC 1274 & 0thers, was shot over this past new moon out at Coonabarabran...out of six nights only had one and half clear but hey, thems the breaks.
Seeing and transparency very average but, the fun is still be had when the clouds stay away I guess

Nice stuff Louie! I particular like the dark lanes running through the region, and the bok globules.

A really nice, complex image Louie. The amount of interstallar dust you guys pick up in the star field is amazing.

Louie,
Just beautiful with gorgeous colour everywhere.
I was going to go to Coonabarabran, but decided to go to Border Stargaze instead. Are you still going up to the cottage? I must go there soon.
Regards,
Humayun

Houghy,Mark,Gary,Jaenette,Rod,Andre w,Steve,Chris,Greg.Paul,Doug and H,thanks so much for the feedback guy's !
Houghy,300mm would be a nice scale for this region...hope you get It next season now I guess.
Gary, had the same thought my self.
Rod and Andrew,I was thinking the same...the dark lanes lifts this region.
Greg, yes at Timor cabins...only one available now.
H,yep but I doubt I'll stay there again...Border Stargaze would of been more fun!

This is a really nice shot Louie, the FSQ and M25 frame it well.
Nice job
only getting a night and a half outa 6 must have been dissapointing and frustrating ...while you're (quite rightly) lamenting, spare a moment for how the poor PHD student up at AAO would have felt who's week of alocated time it was on the AAT
