Cool Corona Australis From Border StarGaze

A compiled image of Corona Australis captured at BSG this year. Please excuse the dirt on the sensor. Just another stuff up by me.
10 X 10 minute exposures captured with QHY8 and FSQ106ED. No calibration files taken or used.

Second image is M8, 10 X 2 minute exposures with the same as above.

Beautiful, Doug!

They've come up a treat. I'll try and ignore the dust bunnies.

Regards,
Humayun

Corona Australis is brilliant Doug! Well done indeed!

You're M8 shot seems to be lacking saturation a bit.. Personal taste issue I guess.

Well done!

Great shots. I like the "depth" of the Corona Australis if you know what I mean.

The dim dark dust has come up a treat in the Cor Aus image Doug. I know how dim that stuff is.

Great images.

Nice work there Doug! I particularly like the Corona A image - you've captured the colour and extent of the dust well. (No, the neb, not the bunnies! )

Cheers, Marcus

Great shots.

You can probably get a minor gain by using Shadows/highlights tool in Photoshop and use the highlights sliders to tame the slight burn out in the glob and the Lagoon core.

You can do that with curves too using the last top section of the curve only.

Greg.

Thanks for the comments Guy's, I had a few things happening over the weekend so the camera was covered with dirt and grime and time really wasn't on my side for this BSG. Chris and H can vouch for the fact that I really didn't spend any time processing these two images and when I noticed all the dirt I sort of lost the will to try to hard on them.
The one thing I can say about the whole event is it has to be the best event of it's type in the country. David (Unbeliever) and Petra (Space Zebra) do so much to make the weekend a success they really do deserve all the praise we can bestowe on them. Thanks Guys.

This scope (FSQ106ED) and the QHY8 are a match made in heaven for me and I really look forward to spending some time under good skies with this beautifull setup.

Thanks again.
