My next rounds of Saturn

I've taken quite a few avis over the past week or so, but unfortunately haven't had time to do much with them. So here's a couple. All were taken between the hours of 11:00 pm and 2:30 am

They've only had basic wavelets, contrast and very basic colour balancing in Registax3. Unfortunately the seeing hasn't been as good as my first shot (see here for comparison http://www.iceinspace.com/forum/show...=&threadid=417 ) Its amazing what seeing can do for a photo.

First taken on the 9/1/05

The next taken on the 11/1/05. I think I'm getting better at the colour capture. (This one's been mirrored just to get a new perspective)

Very nice shots, it's amazing how seeing affects it, as you said.

Have you tried using a barlow to increase the image scale?

Are these with the ToUcam or LPI?

The two are from the same night 13/1/05 with slightly different processing in Registax 3. Not sure which one I prefer

I like the 2nd and 4th ones best, the 4th appears to be the sharpest and the 1st has the best colour

I like the detail on the disc in the last shot though!

Combine them all into 1

All done with a 2X barlow with ToUcam, with most done at 532 X 288 resolution. Under the condition 640 X 280 wasn't producing a very good image.

I intend to Ice.

I've actually processed about 30 Avi using 3 or 4 different settings on each one in registax 3. I've ended up with well over 100 shots. They will take a bit of editting first to get them all lined up with saturn at a similar angle in each (I haven't worked out how to get around the miss alignment issue yet), then sort out the better ones from the not so better ones. But I'm kid free and wife free for the next 4 days or so, so I might put some time into it.

Thats after and if I can get my Flora/Saturn conjunction photos sorked out. ( I'll post that problem else where on this fabulous and very helpful site )

Thanks for your comments.
