A few close up shots.

Well Melbourne's weather is pretty grey today, so i thought i might give Berts idea a go http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...1&postcount=10

I had an old hand me down pair of binno's that i took apart and used one of the lenses.

I just used some rough and ready elec tape to hold it in place

The results turned out o.k. and i am pleased with a couple of them

Unfortunately there was no insects to be found, so it's flowers and some more.

Thanks for the nice comments, i didn't think i would have got the level of detail that Bert got in his "fly" shot, that's just awsome, but i am happy with the results of these for a first time.

Thanks for the tip Bert, works well.

Houghy, the mushroom/toadstool was shot with the same settings as the flowers, except for Av value

Those shots are terrific Trevor !!!!!
You've added some colour to our grey day.

What a great idea with the lens.
Thanks for sharing Trevor and thanks Bert for the tip.

Of course I only took one picture and then showed it.No many failures and insects just don't stand still. This is what it is all about, the fun of the attempt.Next time use superglue, thats how I kept the fly still.Just joking!

Great pics By the way.

i really like them!!!

i have never really been into photography per say, but i am really enjoying thinking about a scene and trying to capture it. I like the raw colour mod for the toucam at the moment and can't wait to try and get mars coming over a mountain or through a tree on the horizon etc.

i can see why you guys love this sort of stuff!!
