Modifying a Meade Standard wedge mods for 10" LX200

I decided to mount my LX200 10" on a polar wedge to try some photography. I had made one earlier and given it away but decided there was too much work to build another one in the short term.

The price of a super wedge was too much so I bought a Standard wedge. But alas it will not hold a 10" LX200 below 45 degrees latitude.
However I was able to quickly knock up a new extended mounting plate out of some steel offcuts to get around the problem.

The new plate worked like a charm.
