First light with 50D but trouble stacking RAW files

Hi all,

Finally after a couple of nights of trials and tribulations (with regards to weather), finally managed to have a first light with my new 50D and Hutech IDAS P2 filter. The trouble is, when I stack the RAW images, I get a very strange result. I get this result with both Deep Sky Stacker and Images Plus. I do have the latest RAW Codec installed for the 50D.

Any ideas??

The first image is the RAW files stacked, the second is when I tried stacking the jpegs......

Thanks (in anticipation).........

If you use photo shop and having trouble with raws you also need to download the DNG converter from adobe.
I had to do the same for my 500D.

Cheers Daniel.
