1hr data through the RC captured with 350d last night (no darks)

some light pollution and moon glow

spent a good part of the night trying to collimate the RC and get use to my new Moonlite focuser

This is in the general region of M17

I don't know about naming them but it sure looks like it is all coming together for you Trevor. I think your focus might still be a bit soft or the seeing wasn't that good.

Have fun, raining here still.

Thanks Dougie I think I need to give the collimation some fine tweaking but may take two heads. Tracking seems better and only a bit of rotation appearing on the edges.

Seeing wasn't crash hot there is a lot of secondary ambient light from street lights and neighbour's where I am plus the moon was not far off from where these stars are at the time.

Collimation its no simple..using a cheshire eyepiece (the Takahashi one it's perfect)....on daylight. In 5 minutes its ready. Don't rotate the focuser after the collimation.
