You Own a GS 12 inch Dob the Next thing is how to Get it to Fit In your Car.

Hello I bought a Toyota Lexon VR Sedan which is basically the same as a Holden VR Commodore Sedan. To travel out of Town to our country observing sites I need to get the Dob Tube and Base into My sedan VR Lexon. The Tube fouls on the Inner rear door armrset Moulds.I cut and shaped some Chipboard to act as a Shelf to place the Dob tube on .For the Time being I placed a Wooden Box under the Middle of the Shelf to support it The Armrests support and lock the Shelf into place at both ends.I use the box under the Shelf to store Astro Books etc.I rap the Inertia seat Belts Around the Dob Tube to Restrain it.The Next thing is to get the Dob. Base into the Boot of the Car. I cut 2 recesses into the lower Dob Base.So I can slide the base into the Boot and and roll it in under The Boot Lid opening .Then I have to position it to the Passengers side to and set it to Clear the Boot Lid Baffles. I took it For a Road test it Works OK. Reguard's Tony.
