Aussie Astro Mag needs your images

main thread in gen chat...

I made a comment elsewhere that the local AUSTRALIAN SKY AND TELESCOPE magazine had not displayed any local images in its images section. and got this reply
Quote:

Plenty of "potential" local talent

Clive,

Yes, AS&T's Aug/Sep Gallery is a selection of global shots. Gallery depends on reader submissions, and Autumn's contributions were too similar to pics published in recent issues - maybe the weather is to blame.

So, for those who are reading this, if you're an astrophotographer with images you think are worthy of being published, e-mail 'em in!

We offer a 3-issue subscription in return for those that are published, and your images are seen by a wide Australian/NZ audience.

October's Gallery is 4 pages of local shots.

Greg

So in fairness to the magazine, i thought i would give those who want their 5 minutes of fame the opportunity, i think the "potential " meant no-one submitted. So if you want your big chance here it is.

i would rather see OUR LOCAL images than some imported stuff.

Cheers Clive

edit... i put this here in deep sky as many dont visit the other departments, and its here that the potential lies.

Hi Clive, TBH thats a driving force, to get something published, so i can say "i did that" unfortunately, i am miles away from it.

That said, even the longest journey, starts with a single step.

I've submitted a couple of times over the last year and didn't get a reply.
