bright object, need help

Hi every one, I was driving home on Monday night the 17th at 11:38 after work when I saw a super bright object. There were two of us in the car who saw it, it was traveling east to west 25 deg elevation approx, it appeared to be flutering not a steady light, it was quite large the size of jupiter as you would look at it. I thought it had hit the ground but there has been no reports, SO what was it??
I would love to here from any one. Tony

Possibly International Space Station? Not sure tho someone else here will verify that. The fluttering could be the rotation of the ISS.

Probably just a big meteor. They can flare or 'flutter' a little as they start to break up as they come in. Very little ever makes it to the ground, so its just an illusion that it seemed to come down to earth. Most meteors never make it past 80km in height above the ground.
